7 Day, 6 Night

While our rowing vacation tours are similar to the following sample itinerary, each trip has the opportunity to be unique and depends on the ability of the group. If booking a 7 Day, 6 Night vacation tour, one year of rowing (scull or sweep) experience is preferred.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Each trip will vary on time of year and best available lodging

  • Arrive in Anchorage! (ANC, Ted Stevens International Airport)

    We’ll provide a list of fun Anchorage activities to get you started. Do as many as you like depending on your arrival time.

    Check into hotel (included)

    8PM Meet & Greet: safety and trip expectations

  • Drive Turnagain Arm (watch for the Bore Tide, Dall Sheep, or Belugas!)

    Row Portage Lake to Portage Glacier (10-15k)

    Afternoon: Rowing and hiking options

    Night 2: Kenai Princess Lodge

  • Row Kenai Lake: point-to-point or semi-circumnavigate (15k)

    Hike Russian River Trail (3-4 miles)

    Row Skilak, Hidden, or Cooper Lake (10-15k)

    Night 3: Kenai Princess Lodge

  • Late wake up and head to Seward

    Marine Wild Life Tour or Fishing Charter

    Row Upper Trail Lake (10k)

    Night 4: Seward Adventure Lodge

  • Row Upper Trail Lake, Resurrection Bay in Seward, or point-to-point on Kenai Lake (10-15k)

    Visit Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center en route to Whittier

    Explore Whittier

    Night 5: Inn at Whittier

  • Row Whittier Passage

    Hike Crow Pass or Winner Creek Trail

    Afternoon Spa at Alyeska

    Evening Salmon Bake at Crow Creek Mine

    Night 6: ANCHORAGE (or extend your stay at Alyeska!)
